A video showing a termite infestation on patients’ beds at a top hospital in Congo shocked people on social media. Our Observer says that the wildlife encroaching on the University Hospital in Brazzaville is a sign of lack of funding. Two artists in Sudan are creating huge photomontages of victims of the authorities’ violent crackdown; and in Burkina Faso, artists are bringing performing arts to the people by organising concerts in homes and public spaces.
