Police kill a teenager in Bogota and our Observer shows us round the hub of the Iraqi protests
A teenager in Bogota, Colombia, died after police shot him in the head during a street protest. It’s just one tragedy in a series of scenes of police brutality caught on amateur video. In our next story, our Observer takes us inside the ‘Turkish restaurant’ – the name given to an occupied building that has become the epicentre of the Iraqi protest movement. Also nicknamed ‘The Mountain’, it’s become the official headquarters of protesters, and has been completely renovated. Our Observer gave us the tour.
