A Portuguese banker named in the Luanda Leaks, a major Angolan money-laundering and corruption scandal, has died in an apparent suicide at his home. Also, thousands of illegally built houses are destroyed near Abidjan airport, this after an Ivorian child stowaway was found dead in the undercarriage of a plane that landed in Paris. And Somalia is one of the most difficult countries in the world to be a journalist. Unions there are calling on President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo to hold off from signing a bill they fear will further undermine press freedom.
