The new normal: FRANCE 24 reports from South Korea to South Africa

In our show "The New Normal", which examines the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic and beyond, FRANCE 24 brings you four reports from our correspondents around the globe.

Our reports:

  • South Korea initially earned plaudits for its handling of the coronavirus pandemic, but the country is fighting a second wave of infections. Yé-rinne Park and Florian Némard report on how the government is responding.

  • In Israel, there's palpable anger amid a second wave of Covid-19. Protesters are making their voices heard – they say PM Benjamin Netanyahu's government lifted the lockdown too soon. Irris Makler and her team report.

  • Meanwhile in Lebanon, the virus is not most people's biggest concern. As the country sinks deeper into a massive economic crisis, middle-class families are being pushed into poverty. Catherine Norris-Trent and her team report.

  • And in South Africa, we see how a food delivery service is working in some of the country's impoverished townships amid the Covid-19 lockdown. Caroline Dumay and her team report.
