Sudan's government says bread subsidy to continue

Sudan's uprising against Omar al-Bashir was triggered by protests against the rising cost of bread in 2018. This week, the government confirmed it would keep on subsidising the staple as many people are still struggling to get by. Also, since the start of the coronavirus outbreak, only five African countries have repatriated citizens, including Morocco.
