Chile suspends planned metro fare hike amid violent protests

Chile's government has suspended planned hikes in metro fares following violent protests at the weekend. Frustration has been mounting in one of Latin America's most stable economies over the rising cost of living and growing inequality amid the government's liberal economic policies. Plus, Boeing expresses regret over recently released internal messages dating back to 2016. The documents handed over to US Congress and regulators showed a test pilot voicing concern about safety issues with the 737 MAX plane's MCAS automated flight control system, now blamed for two deadly crashes.
