Irish musician Breanndán Ó Beaglaoich on being inspired by the sea
Issued on: Modified:
Born, raised and more often than not still living on Ireland’s Atlantic coast, Breanndán Ó Beaglaoich grew up beside the sea, a wild force that's credited as being a vital element in his music. The renowned Irish accordion player, composer and singer rarely lets a day pass without taking a dip into the sea. Ó Beaglaoich recently rowed 2,500 kilometres - from Dublin in Ireland to Santiago in Spain - in a traditional wooden rowing boat for the Camino Voyage. He gives us his Perspective on music in the world today and how it can be shaped by the sea.
