Film show: Female adultery in Tunisia becomes a matter of life and death in 'A Son'
Issued on: Modified:
Film critic Lisa Nesselson speaks to Eve Jackson about the week's new releases, including Lambert Wilson starring in the biopic "De Gaulle"; plus family drama "A Son", which tells the story of a couple's world collapsing when their son is shot and the father discovers he's not the boy's biological parent.
But first, they discuss the highlights from the south of France's animation pitching event Cartoon Movie, such as the eco-conscious "Our Amazing Odyssey"; French animator Florence Miailhe's migrant crisis story "The Crossing"; and French project "The Black Swallow," centered on real-life American Eugene Bullard, who was a prizefighting boxer in 1913, flew as a fighter pilot with the Allies in World War I, performed as a jazz musician in Paris in the 1920s and ended up as an elevator operator back in the United States.
