Thailand: Is Martial Law the Answer? (part 2)

It’s martial law - but not a coup - according to Thailand's military leaders. The army has stepped in during the seventh month of a sometimes bloody standoff between the government of the now-ousted Yingluck Shinawatra and the pro-royalist opposition. Will martial law help resolve the longstanding resentment between the rural poor who support Thaksin's red shirts and the urban middle classes in opposition?
