As the Palestinian Authority sees the current US administration as more and more of a lost cause, Mahmoud Abbas is in Brussels. He's seeking EU recognition of Palestine, echoing UNESCO's decision of 2011. So can the centre ground still be seen, if at all reached with the increasing polarisation between Israel and the Palestinians?
