'All options are on the table': On track for a military conflict in Venezuela?
Today we're turning our eye to Venezuela, as regional powers gather in the Colombian capital this Monday - joined by Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido - to discuss new ways to pressure Nicolas Maduro to give up power. A weekend effort to deliver US aid resulted in deadly clashes at the Colombian and Brazilian borders. Maduro regards that aid as a smokescreen for a US invasion and in fact Washington is not ruling out armed action, saying that Maduro's days are numbered.
So where do we go to from here? What can the so-called Lima Group achieve? Who are Maduro's allies and what are they saying? And is there really the appetite in Washington for a military conflict?
