The European Parliament has just given its green-light to a free trade deal with Vietnam, a deal that supporters say is a "unique opportunity" for the EU to increase its trade and influence in Southeast Asia


Detractors though claim that the deal overlooks human rights and environmental commitments, this at a time when the EU is asking its own member states to commit to ambitious climate goals
