Covid-19: 'We can't let down our guard,' says head of EU disease control agency
Issued on:
As Europe and other parts of the world start to emerge from their Covid-19 restrictions, we're asking whether the coronavirus is really behind us - and whether Europeans are prepared in case it comes back. Our guest is the director of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control. Dr. Andrea Ammon is the German doctor who heads up this EU agency. She was warning European member states back in January that they needed to prepare for the virus which would later see half the world's population put under lockdown orders.
