Gabon coup attempt: Rebel chief arrested, two soldiers killed

The leader of an attempted coup in Gabon has been captured and two of his men killed after they stormed a radio station and forced it to broadcast a message calling for an uprising. Security forces stormed the building shortly afterwards. The coup bid came as President Ali Bongo is still out of the country after suffering a stroke in October.
Also, Nigeria’s military is accused of attacking press freedom after troops raid a newspaper’s offices in Maiduguri over its handling of a front-page story on Boko Haram.
And Senegal’s first regional express train is just a week away from being unveiled, but many of those living nearby say they’ve been left behind.
