Clashes break out at Sudanese protesters' sit-in

Protest leaders and the interim military council in Sudan say they have made a breakthrough in negotiations for the handover of power to a transitional authority. Meanwhile, clashes are reported at a month-long sit-in outside army headquarters in Khartoum.


Also, in South Africa, President Cyril Ramaphosa says the ruling ANC party has learned its lesson after returning to power with a lower share of the vote.

And UN Security Council members meet to discuss Cameroon’s Anglophone crisis for the first time.
