Kenya ships first-ever export of crude oil
Kenya's President Uhuru Kenyatta has flagged off the country's first export shipment of oil. The shipment is an accumulation of oil produced since Kenya began pumping in June 2018 at up to 2,000 barrels a day. Also, Steenkampskraal in South Africa holds some of the world’s highest-grade deposits of rare earth metals. The mine hopes to start its production soon.
