Worst flooding in 20 years leaves 28,000 homeless in Central African Republic

In tonight's edition: police in Cape Town use water cannons while arresting hundreds of refugees and asylum seekers. They had been staging a sit-in outside the UN refugee agency's office, saying they were in danger of anti-immigrant attacks. Also, almost two weeks of torrential rain have plunged swathes of Central African Republic under water. A FRANCE 24 team visits the capital Bangui, where the river has burst its banks, leaving thousands without food or shelter. And France participates in an effort in Ethiopia to preserve ancient rock-cut churches in the town of Lalibela.
