Zimbabwe on brink of starvation, UN expert warns

It comes amid intensified militant attacks and growing anger at peacekeepers and authorities for failing to protect locals. Also, over half of Zimbabwe's population faces starvation. According to the UN, continued food insecurity could sow the seeds of civil unrest. And the government of Benin expels the EU ambassador from the country over what it calls political interference. The EU has condemned what it calls a "hasty decision".
