Paris Fashion Stories, Episode 2: Sport & cinema
Ready-to-wear, autumn-winter 2019/2020. In this edition, we focus on the latest collections from Saint Laurent and Koché.
At Saint Laurent, Anthony Vaccarello relies heavily on the sartorial DNA of the brand, and the 1971 "Scandal" collection in particular. His ultra-high hems show off models' legs to the full, while shoulders are strong and square. As for the setting, a vast mirrored building opposite the Eiffel Tower reflects the well-deserved confidence of Saint Laurent's parent company LVMH.
Meanwhile, Christelle Kocher is known as the Queen of Street Couture. She embraces the language of the street - and her looks are never over-worked. For this Koché collection she upcycled football shirts, transforming them into skirts and dresses. She's always been a sports fan, hence the decision to hold her show at Bercy's Accorhotels arena.
