Iraqi Kurds, Yazidis flee jihadist threat for precarious life in camps
Issued on: Modified:
Since the start of the summer, hundreds of thousands of Iraqis have fled their towns and villages to escape the fighting, looting and terror that have engulfed the region following the rise of the Islamic State group. From Dohuk to Erbil, these displaced people are crammed into makeshift camps. Among the countries giving a helping hand is France, bringing the total amount of French aid to date to 5.2 million euros. France 24's Willy Bracciano visited the Dohuk region to bring us this report.
