First burkinis, now veils

Burkinis are not illegal but in the current post-attack climate of fear in France, certain mayors have temporarily banned them out of a fear that such forms of dress could be viewed as a "provocation" and thus pose a risk to public order. An incident reported by the 'Nouvel Observateur' magazine shows how this precedent could have opened a Pandora's box. A woman was stopped by the police in Cannes and told to remove her hidjab (headscarf) or leave the beach. We take a look at reactions.
