June 20 is World Refugee Day. Newly arrived asylum seekers can wait up to a year to secure refugee status in France, a time period during which they are unable to work, or even receive formal training in many cases. France 24's Selina Sykes and Taline Oundjian explore the work of the organisation La Terre en Partage ("Shared Ground" in English). The association, started by a French couple, aims to tackle this issue by providing asylum seekers with training and daily activities from art class to French lessons.
