The US and EU have agreed to freeze tariffs on a wide range of goods for an initial period of four months, setting aside a trade dispute over airplane subsidies that has been rumbling on for 16 years. Meanwhile, the US Labor Department reported a surge in jobs in February, concentrated mostly in the hospitality sector. That helped to boost investor sentiment on Wall Street and end the trading week with stocks riding high.
