Deauville 2021: Johnny Depp on why he prefers making films in France


US actor Johnny Depp has always felt like an outsider in Hollywood, despite starring in box office hits like the "Pirates of the Caribbean" series. The actor took to the red carpet at the Deauville American Film Festival on Sunday to present his film "City of Lies". It tells the story of an LAPD detective investigating the murders of hip-hop legends Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G.. Johnny Depp tells FRANCE 24 why it's so different making films in France compared to the US.
