Death toll climbs as Nigeria's anti-police brutality protests spiral
Issued on: Modified:
Nigeria's capital Lagos is paralysed by ongoing protests against police brutality. Demonstrators march on the airport as they demand more changes to rein in the notorious abuses that security forces often visit on civilians. Also, at least three people have been killed in pre-election tensions in Ivory Coast. Regional bloc ECOWAS calls on both the opposition and the government to keep their supporters in check. And we see how students in Libya are still caught between conflict and the coronavirus. Many are turning to homeschooling or lessons outdoors.
