Tensions remain high in Uganda one week before President Yoweri Museveni seeks re-election. There have been brutal crackdowns on opposition rallies. Also, in DR Congo, 20 years on from the assassination of President Laurent-Désiré Kabila, one man sentenced to death for his role in the shooting has been set free - this after other political prisoners were also granted freedom.
