What is Europe's next move? EU weighs up sixth round of sanctions against Russia

The EU is weighing up more sanctions against Russia. In Brussels, a special summit has been examining a sixth round of sanctions against Moscow since the Russian invasion of Ukraine began on February 24. Is this the moment an oil embargo comes into play?

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has told the EU Council that his country needs its backing more than ever. Meanwhile the French foreign minister is in Ukraine, the most senior French government figure to make the trip so far. Catherine Colonna began her visit in Bucha, the satellite town near Kyiv that was the scene of alleged war crimes by Russian soldiers in March.

There's one burning question in Kyiv: where are the heavy weapons that the allies promised Ukraine? The absence of this weaponry is a key reason why Russian is now advancing in the Donbas.
