Paris attacks commemorations, Covid-19 vaccine, US presidential election

November 13, 2015 was also a Friday: a Friday many of us sadly will never forget. One hundred and thirty people were killed in a terror attack in Paris. This Friday 13, tributes have been laid at scenes where people, out enjoying Paris life, were killed by terrorists. The Stade de France was where it began with a failed, though still fatal attack. It was followed by a series of attacks on bars and restaurants as well as the Bataclan concert hall.

Here at FRANCE 24, we remember our colleague Mathieu Hoche: a talented studio director, a kind man with whom I worked so many times. He lost his life after leaving work that night to go to the fateful concert at the Bataclan.

News of a vaccine 90 percent effective against Covid-19 has sent hope soaring around the world. But here in France, most people surveyed by a national radio station France Info were sceptical.

Fact: Joe Biden is the US president-elect. This Friday there is news that might lead us to say election fraud is fiction, in spite of President Donald Trump's claims that he was cheated out of a second mandate. This claim is only backed by his close and loudest supporters, with no evidence so far.
