FRANCE 24's journalist François Rihouay has been awarded the 2017 Ricardo Ortega Memorial Prize for broadcast journalism for his video report 'Timbuktu Revisited'. The prize is one of the UN Correspondents Association awards. Rihouay says his report is still relevant as people in Timbuktu feel insecure in their minds. "Jihadists are still threatening the peace and security of the ancient city," Rihouay says.
