Mexico: Sacred Mayan underwater cave revealed in Yucatan

A group of divers have connected two underwater caverns in Easter Mexico: they form what is believed to be the biggest flooded cave on the planet. Originally, the Sac Actun cave, which is 263 kilometres long, ran very close to the 83 kilometres Dos Ojos system. It has been shown in fact, that under the underwater rocks, they are connected. Now this system is 347 kilometres long. Researchers say they also found ceramic vases from the Mayan society, used in funerals and ritual sacrifices.
