Cannes 2018: From Black Panther to Black Cinema

It’s well known for its diverse selection of cinema from all four corners of the world: the Cannes film festival has long promoted African cinema and African-American directors. Yet what’s showing at Cannes isn’t necessarily what you’d find at your local multiplex in recent years- that is until the phenomenon that is "Black Panther” hit cinemas around the world. Our reporters Olivia Salazar-Winspear and Aurore Dupuis went to check out the film that’s brought the conversation about black cinema to the mainstream.
