Argentina abortion: 'a sea change in public opinion'

Argentine lawmakers face a crucial vote on Wednesday to decide whether or not to legalize abortion amidst fiercely polarized campaigns for and against the proposed bill. The bill is unlikely to pass, but the campaign has "radically shifted the way in which people are thinking about the issue," Latin America expert Marcela Lopez-Levy told FRANCE 24. "If it doesn't get passed today, it will happen at some point not so far in the future."
