Louvre museum hails record-breaking 2018, with a little help from Beyoncé
Date created : Latest update :
Already the world's most visited museum, the Louvre in Paris welcomed more than ten million visitors in 2018 -- an unprecedented figure for an international museum, according to its management. This year, the museum’s fame was further boosted by two very special guests: music superstars Beyoncé and Jay Z, who chose to stage their “Apes**T” video in the Louvre. The first couple of American pop music were granted special access to the galleries, in a move the museum’s managers believe helped bring the magic of the Louvre to people less familiar with classical art.
