Libya's Sarraj on European tour in anti-Haftar diplomacy push

Libya’s internationally recognised government said Monday that Prime Minister Fayez al-Sarraj will tour Europe to seek support against an attack on Tripoli by strongman Khalifa Haftar, who urged his troops to “wipe out” government forces. Sarraj heads the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord. His diplomatic tour is slated to include a series of meetings with leaders beginning Tuesday with Italy's Giuseppe Conte, Germany's Angela Merkel and France's Emmanuel Macron, Libya's foreign ministry said.
