First case of ebola in Uganda confirms spread of disease from DRC

A five-year old child is confirmed to have contracted ebola in Uganda, their first confirmed case since the outbreak began in neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo in 2018. The blood samples of two more probable cases are currently being investigated. France 24's Solange Mougin explains that the spread of the virus from the DRC to Uganda has put increasing pressure on the World Health Organization to declare a global health emergency.
