Toxicologist Alex Carll: 'Juul funding research (on vaping) is a great way to discredit science'

There is a lack of research on vaping effects, but who should pay for it? Environmental Toxicologist Alex Carll, from University of Louisville School of Medicine, has been approached by market-leading e-cigarette company Juul. He refused their offer to conduct studies on potential harms, saying "Juul funding research is a great way to discredit science".
