There's been a dramatic de-escalation of the ongoing conflict in East Ukraine. Both the Ukrainian army and separatist fighters backed by Russia began withdrawing their troops. That long-awaited pull-back was a precondition ahead of a high-stake summit with Russia, the first face-to-face talks between the Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Ukrainian counterpart.
