French association retracts from International Congress for Victims of Terrorism
Issued on:
Starting this Thursday, people from all over the world whose lives have been affected by terrorism are gathering in the French city of Nice for the 8th International Congress for the Victims of Terrorism. In recent years, France has seen several devastating attacks, including in Nice. 86 people lost their lives there in 2016 when a man drove a truck through crowds celebrating Bastille day. Today, victims of that attack are divided over hosting the congress. One victim association retracted their official support saying the event doesn't give them enough of a voice. Our team in Nice reports.
