France National Strike: Huge walkouts halt the country amidst fight for pension reform

Railway workers, air traffic workers, hospital staff, teachers are just some of those on an indefinite strike starting today in France, against planned pension reforms. 90 percent of all trains across the country are cancelled here, as the Paris metro network and hundreds of flights also grind to a halt. The strike is already drawing comparisons with the a 1995 unions struggle that paralysed France for 3 weeks. Some are calling the next few days "a decisive test" for French President Emmanuel Macron.
