Massive India repatriation begins with flights from UAE amid fears of coronavirus pandemic

India has started its massive repatriation plan that started after the country closed its doors to all international flights in mid-March, in order to fight Covid-19. Many of the flights have been departing from Gulf countries, such as the United Arab Emirates where Indians make up a large part of the migrant labour force. The first flights bringing in Indians have now landed in Kerala.
