Israel’s Gantz-Netanyahu coalition ‘could be short lived’, FRANCE 24’s Irris Makler says
Issued on:
Israel is preparing to swear in its new government, a coalition between former rivals Benjamin Netanyahu and Benny Gantz that is set to end an 18-month political deadlock. The two men will take turns in the role of Prime minister, starting by Likud’s Benjamin Netanyahu. But this coalition could be very short-lived, as Netanyahu is to face trial over graft charges and other parties, such as Labour, could easily drop out, as France 24’s Jerusalem correspondent Irris Makler reports.
