Colombia orders coronavirus lockdown near Brazil border after case spike

Brazil is the worst-hit country in Latin America by the coronavirus pandemic, having the 6th highest rate of infections in the World. Neighbouring Colombia has instructed locals living near the border with Brazil to stay indoors, as hospitals in the Amazonas region are filling up fast, like the cemeteries. Brasilia reported 13,944 new Covid-19 cases in one single day, a record number, bringing its total to more than 200,000.
