Analysis: Muscovites put coronavirus fears aside for Victory Day parade

Russia has staged large military parade in Moscow to celebrate Victory Day, even as the coronavirus continues to infect around 7500 people a day in country, down from a high over 10,000 in May. FRANCE 24 chief foreign editor Robert Parsons says the Victory Day parade has gained in importance in recent years, coming this year ahead of a vote on the country’s constitution that could extend the reign of President Vladimir Putin.
