Mexico latest disease hotspot in Latin America as cases explode

In Mexico, military bases are being used to support hospitals as the number of Covid-19 cases sharply rises. The disease has killed around 24,000 people in the country, with 200,000 infected, the second-worst affected in Latin America behind Brazil. Experts say low testing means real figures are much higher, whiles NGOs have criticised as premature the government’s easing of lockdown measures.
