New York slaps quarantine on interstate travellers from Covid-19 hotspots

Many southern and southwestern US states are seeing record high numbers of new cases of Covid-19, prompting concern some may need to impose new lockdown measures. On Wednesday, New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo announced a 14-day quarantine for travellers from states hardest hit by the resurgence in Covid-19 cases, with new rules also to apply to neighbouring New Jersey and Connecticut.
