Coronavirus in US acting unlike previous disease outbreaks

The death toll from Covid-19 in the United States was nearing 120,000 on Monday, with 2.4 million of the country’s 330 million inhabitants diagnosed with the virus. Half of fifty states have witnessed a new spike in the virus, with some southern states including Texas and Florida seeing record case numbers.
