Presidential contender Trzaskowski scrapes through to second round of Polish elections

Poland’s first-round presidential election yielded disappointing results for Rafal Trzaskowski, garnering around only 29 percent, polls revealed Monday, while incumbent Andrzej Duda had more than 45 percent. FRANCE 24 correspondent Gulliver Cragg says Trzaskowski can likely count on extra votes flowing from candidates who missed out on the second round, to be held in two weeks.
