French prosecutors ask for life prison sentence in jihadist Tyler Vilus trial

French judges are today deliberating after hearing evidence against 30-year old jihadist Tyler Vilus, who could face a life sentence for terrorist charges. He is accused of being a high-ranking member of the Islamic State group and of overseeing executions in Syria, having also admitted to being in contact with Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the man French authorities believe to be the mastermind behind the 2015 Paris terrorist attacks.
