Books removed in Hong Kong as laws take effect

Schools and bookstores in Hong Kong have begun to remove books that violate new security laws imposed by Beijing last week. The mainland government says the laws aim to make the island more ‘patriotic’. Protestors say the new laws give Beijing carte blanche to trample over long-cherished rights.
