France to double paternity leave to almost a month

France is to double paternity leave to 28 days, President Emmanuel Macron's office announced Tuesday, a move bringing the country in line with progressive legislation elsewhere in Europe. The current allocation of 14 days for fathers dates back to 2002 and at the time was much longer than in other European nations.
